Wu Style Tai Chi Classes

About Tai Chi Click Here

When performed properly Tai Chi will aid in the improvement of your overall health and wellbeing - this is what I want to share with you. Tai Chi is often described as a moving meditation because of the mental and physical relaxation it produces when practiced. It uses gentle slow circular movements, combined with deep breathing and concentration to create a low impact aerobic exercise that emphasises proper body mechanics aiding in over all health. Relaxation of both your mind and body plays an important part when performing Tai Chi.

Once you learn to relax the movements have a gentle natural flow to them which is very pleasant to experience. Physical discomfort diminishes and mental worries drift away, everything functions the way it should. Aligning deep breathing with mentally following the movements and proper body mechanics you will relax both mentally and physically allowing your body to naturally regain health.

Guided Qi Gong Meditation Classes

About Qi Gong Click Here

Want to feel energised, relaxed, stay healthy and heal yourself at the same time? If so then a regular Qi Gong class may be just what you are looking for. Qi Gong is the practice of aligning breathing, movement and mind for exercise, healing and meditation.

Through using postures (stationary or moving), breathing techniques and mind we can build up awareness of the flow of Qi (energy / life force) within us and learn to guide it through our body. With practice we learn how to sense, build up and flow the Qi energy through our body, eliminating blockages and correcting imbalances.

The exercises taught during these classes are from an ancient (5000 year) Chinese system for health called Qi Gong. You have probably seen many images from China with people performing these exercises in parks at 80, 90 or even 100 using graceful flowing movements. This is because these Qi Gong exercise place no pressure on the joints, increase balance, mobility, breathing capacity and health through their understanding following the bodies natural movement and energy flow.
These health exercises are very gentle and are suitable for everyone regardless of age, they can be done standing or seated, and some can be done lying down. A class will leave you feeling deeply physically and mentally relaxed yet full of energy and ready to jump back into your life.
