Low Posture, Seven Star, Ride Tiger, Double Lotus Kick Five repetitions of these movements from the Wu 108 Slow form, filmed from front and back view to help my students to learn the movements.


100. Double Lotus Kick
Tai Chi Picture Turn body, left leg becomes back right leg front
Legs stay stationary body continues to twist
Right eg on left side, left arm on right side
Untwist, right leg and both hands swing and meet leg in middle

101. Bend the Bow
Tai Chi Picture Turn body, left leg becomes back right leg front
Legs stay stationary body continues to twist
Right eg on left side, left arm on right side
Untwist, right leg and both hands swing and meet leg in middle

102 & 103. High Pat the Horse, Palm Strike to Face
Tai Chi Picture Block in front with right hand
Step and shift forward onto left leg
press forward with left palm to strike at face height



104. Turn Body Hammer

Left arm straight, right arm bent
Turn body, right hand hammers
Arm pivots on elbow, elbow dosnt move

105. High Pat the Horse

106. Grasping Birds Tail

palm turns facing upwards, breathing in
Right hand circling from left side to right side breathing out
Hand movement is controlled by the turning of the waist, not shoulder
Watching the right hand moving with your eyes
Gentle like a small bird is sitting on your palm and you don’t want to disturb it



107. Single Whip
Tai Chi PictureRight hand forms a hook, fingers and thumb all touching
Left hand moves from right to left, breathing in Left hand turns at end of movement, breathing out
Follow left hand with eyes
Relaxed like slowly cracking a whip



108. Closing Posture
Tai Chi Picture Feet together
Hands together
Elbows down
Body up
Fingers down
Breathing gently
